Thermocable Sets the Standard for Ceiling Void Fire Detection
As part of its rapid growth and expansion, Bradford-based manufacturer, Thermocable relocated all operations to a spacious 39,435 sq ft facility at Leftfield Park, featuring new office and reception areas.
With a blank canvas ready for fitout the team prioritised fire safety, especially within the extensive ceiling voids. Ceiling voids often conceal electrical cables and pipes, which, if overheated or damaged, can pose a significant fire risk. Limited access, along with the presence of dust and dirt, makes maintaining safety challenging and costly.

To address these challenges, Thermocable contracted Rosse Systems to install its ProReact Fixed Temperature Linear Heat Detection (LHD) system.
The installation involved running LHD cable alongside electrical wiring in trays above the suspended ceiling, as well as along ductwork. The controller was integrated into the existing supply unit, housing an Apollo I/O module and allowing ProReact to be configured as part of an addressable loop. The system fully integrates with any Building Management System, ensuring seamless, non-invasive maintenance.
